Talking about Gownder - you guys don't have such a leader because you have no history of coming out from oppression. You wouldn't ask why blacks celebrate Martin Luther King Day. Immanual Shekaran genuinely worked for dalits, unlike John Pandian and today's other dalit leaders. Dalits should understand these leaders make money out of you. The larger the crowd you show the bigger the money they can get during election time. So please take care of your families and genuinely oppose anybody tries to oppress you.
When you genuinely oppose oppression, I a non dalit, will stand beside you and willing to fight along with you.
Please - don't put your ownself down and make yourself a toy for your own exploiters and the exploiters from other communities.

Destroying public property is mistake and not correct way of protest but the situation happened due to police, it does not mean protester should be shot dead.

This is an ample example how some idiots write. When you are saying that SC students alone enjoying the benefits of reservation , what about us. don't we enjoy the benefits of reservation on BC category . I don't think every BC students among us get the engineering and medical seats thorough open category. Especially you can not even get the seat even if you were allowed to get admitted on the SC category requirements. Don't try to reveal your foolishness in the public. Period.

I am not supporting what happened there. I have suppressed a section of people in the name of caste. When they come to sense and awake I have to bear their anger. People commenting from other side just think what if you were born in the suppressed caste.
And there are comments saying tht what police did is correct. My point is they should have used their rifles to shoot in the air first and then use rubber bullets to shoot below the knee. If i am not wrong the police is not supposed to shoot above the knee. Moreover the crowd will not know whether they are fired using rubber bullets are real one.
A bit of maturity from the Police force might have saved the human beings.
And there were some comments about savukku. I have to laugh at those comments. If a journalist is not going to take up these issues who will take up. The job of a journalist in my point of view is that to make people think.
Lets accept the fact that we have suppressed the suppressed caste enough and lets give the independence what they are supposed to have. What we do in the name of customs and caste is seer human rights violation. This is prevalent only in India. No other country has got these kinds of hatred.
